Event planner Leah Mercado’s career spans 10 years and 4 continents. Her experiences range from 20-person meetings to 3000+ expositions and conferences. In her career, she has managed events for various heads of state, including President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame and First Lady of Zambia, Maureen Mwanawasa. Her first taste of planning meetings internationally was in Kigali, Rwanda in 2008. In her current position as Vice President of Events at the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Leah been involved in the planning of events around the world, including locations in Turkey, South Africa, China, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Bahrain. She is currently planning events in the Philippines, Argentina, Panama and possibly Antarctica.

Carl has been involved in the Global meeting and event industry over the last 20 years. Carl is of Swedish nationality and has a degree in Hotel & Hospitality Management from Switzerland.   Carl has been working both as a meeting planner and supplier, organizing large meetings, conventions and also been Event Director of the  32nd Americas Cup Regatta. Carl has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and in the middle east for the past 6 years.  Carl has been working for IHG, Jumeirah Group and is currently VP Sales, Group & Corporate for Atlantis the Palm in Dubai.  Carl has also served as President for MPI Sweden Chapter, and is currently on the MPI International Committee for Market Place.

Jimmy is a Delta 28 year veteran and has held key positions in Field Sales and Sales Development as Account Manager – Los Angeles, Strategic Analyst for the New York/Northeast Regions, and Sales Manager Inside Sales – Northeast and Company Meetings. He has spent 8 years as General Manager – Global Agency Sales, Online Agency Sales, Agency Sales Development, and Specialty Sales. In his current role in specialty sales, he is responsible for leading the customer facing teams for Delta, AirFrance, KLM working with Nikkei Sales, Military and Government, and Sports and University Sales. He is also responsible for growing the meeting, association, and incentive business for Delta and its partner carriers. Industry affiliations include PCMA, MPI, ASAE, and Jimmy currently serves on the GBTA Sports Travel Committee. Jimmy is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in Communications. Jimmy lives in Peachtree City with his wife, Brenda, and two of their three children.

As Executive Vice President for Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) and for Associated Destinations Worldwide (ADW) - ALHI's Global Solution, Kevin is responsible for evolving and expanding ALHI's Global Sales services. Prior to joining ALHI, Kevin served as CEO of hinton+grusich. Since 2008, Kevin has served on the International Board of Directors (IBOD) for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is the 2012-13 Chairman of the Board. A member of MPI's Chicago Area Chapter (MPI-CAC) since 2000, Kevin also served on MPI's Chicago Area Chapter Board of Directors from 2004 to 2008, and was the chapter's president, 2006-07. Kevin has visited nearly 50 countries, having lived in Europe and in Mali, West Africa where he was a Peace Corps volunteer for two years. Kevin speaks German, French and is learning Spanish, and majored in Finance and German at Marquette University. In March 2005 Kevin was graduated from the University of Chicago's Executive MBA program.
